Glass sand

Glass sand from Provodín is a processed raw material with standardized chemical and physical features. It is typical for high level of chemical purity with SiO2 content approx. 99%.

The sand is widely used in glass making industry and is suitable for the production of various kinds of glass, including sheet glass, container glass, glass bricks, fiberglass, foam glass or water glass.

The final product is a result of a sophisticated manufacturing procedure from blasting and crushing of a solid sandstone rock to further multi-step processing (washing, screening, classification by conterflow separators) and, if required, drying. The sand can be supplied in both wet and dried form, in bulk or packed in 25kg bags. Both truck and rail deliveries are available.
